Privacy and Security Statement

The privacy of our customers has always been of utmost importance to the operators of the SmartTrips™ Web site, the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (the "North Front Range MPO"). The North Front Range MPO has a history of protecting your privacy and our concern for your privacy is no different in the electronic age.  Our Internet privacy policy is:

• You do not have to give us personal information to visit the SmartTrips™ site.
• We will collect personally identifiable information (name, email address or other unique identifier) only if specifically and knowingly provided by you.
• Personally identifying information you provide will be used only in connection with SmartTrips™ programs and services.
• Information is collected for statistical purposes and the North Front Range MPO sometimes performs analyses of user behavior in order to measure customer interest in the various areas of our site.
• We do not sell any personal information to any third party.
• The SmartTrips™ siste uses the common practice of enabling "cookies".  A "cookie" is a file placed on your personal computer's hard drive by a Web site that allows it to monitor your use of the site.

Thank you for visiting the SmartTrips™ Web site and reviewing our privacy and security statement.  The North Front Range MPO is strongly committed to maintaining the privacy of your personal information and the security of our computer systems.  With respect to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information, the North Front Range MPO makes every effort to ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal law, including, but not limited to, The Privacy Act of 1974, The Paperwork Reduction Action of 1995, and The Freedom of Information Act.

As a general rule, we do not collect personally identifying information about you when you visit the SmartTrips™ site, unless you choose to provide such information to us.  The information we receive depends upon what you do when visiting the site.

The above information is used by software programs on our Web site to create summary statistics which allow us to assess the number of visitors to the different sections of our site, identify what information is of most and least interest, determine technical design specifications, monitor system performance, and help us make our site more useful to visitors.

Cookie Use Notice
The SmartTrips™ Web site employs "cookies" to provide better service to its customers.  The SmartTrips™ Web site does not use cookies to collect any personally identifying information from users or to track user activities beyond our Web site.  No copies of cookies are maintained on our Web site after you leave our site.
