Bicycles On Buses

Whether you’re an avid bicycle commuter or a recreational cyclist, you may someday get caught in a downpour, find yourself stranded with a flat tire, or just be too tired to pedal.

When that happens, we’ve got you covered!

All local buses are equipped with bicycle racks to help you go the distance. Here’s how it works:

  1. Go the bus stop of your choice.
  2. When the bus arrives, let the driver know you are going to put your bicycle on the bicycle rack located on the front of the bus.
  3. To release the rack, squeeze the handle and lower it down.

  4. Place the front wheel on the side labeled “Front Wheel”. Pull up the support arm and hook it securely over your front wheel.

  5. Board the bus knowing that your bicycle is secure.
  6. When you get to your stop, lift the front wheel arm off your bicycle and lift your bicycle off the rack.
  7. Return the rack to an upright position.
